AquaDom aquarium, Berlin-Mitte, Germany

Berlin's AquaDom is a 25-meter cylindrical aquarium with built-in transparent elevators!

It is installed in the Radisson Blu hotel, with the DomAquarée complex including the hotel, office space, restaurant and of course the aquarium. The AquaDom opened in 2004 and cost 12.8 million euros, and is now the biggest attraction of the Berlin Sea Life Centre. The Aquadom is the world's largest acrylic cylindrical glass aquarium, with a diameter of approximately 11 meters. It is built on a 9 meter high base. It contains 1,000,000 liters of water and is home to more than 1,500 fish, which are classified into 50 types of marine life. Feeding the fish and cleaning the aquarium is done on a daily basis by 4 divers.
